About Us
We are Jacob Morse and Mark Josephson - two guys that simply love coffee. “Simply” is the operative word, because at the time of starting this site, we didn’t know a whole lot about it other than (1) we like it and (2) how to brew a decent cup. We wanted to learn more about growing, roasting and brewing coffee, so we started looking around the web. It didn’t take long to realize that there were a lot of sites about coffee, but none that really addressed the topic clearly and holistically. We wanted a site that dealt with coffee from the ground(s) up and so we set out to make it happen ourselves. And so, Perk-O-Late was born.
It is here that we hope to chronicle our journey from coffee novices to so-called “connoisseurs” through our own research and experimentation (as well as help from the fantastic coffee community). We will be sharing interesting coffee news along the way, as well as photos and videos of our experiments in home roasting and brewing. We hope to review a variety of brewing equipment and coffees, and ultimately provide a directory of local coffee shops around the world.
